Bibliotheque

Bibliotheque is a unique venue that includes floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, mosaic floor tiling, a gold-leaf skylight, and a plethora of art pieces by Henri Matisse, Alexander Calder, Roy Lichtenstein, and others. At its core, Bibliotheque is a space of passion: fantastic books, delicious coffee, and one of the deepest wine lists in the city.

  • Bibliotheque is a bookstore, café, and wine bar located in the heart of SoHo. Founded by Dr. Andrew Jacono, a world-renowned plastic surgeon, and his son A.J. Jacono, a fiction writer and founder of The Spotlong Review, a literary and arts quarterly, Bibliotheque was born from a mutual love of incredible stories and outstanding wine.

The space includes a fifteen-seat bar, sixteen high-top seats, and a thirty-five-seat lounge area surrounded by almost 10,000 shelved books. The lounge also offers a Severtson 120” motorized cinema screen, Sennheiser XSW 1-825 wireless microphones perfect for public speaking, two elaborate crystal chandeliers (one from English Regency and the other from Century Marie Theresa), and fine artwork from the likes of Robert Longo, Rashid Johnson, Roy Lichtenstein, and many others.

Constructed and operated with an unusual attention to detail, Bibliotheque is a space unlike anything else in New York.
