Tasha BlankRequest Talent
Tasha Blank has been pioneering the wellness nightlife movement for nearly a decade. Founder of New York City’s legendary afterwork party The Get Down and force behind the global Deep House Yoga movement, Blank creates sonic experiences for everything from underground warehouse parties and morning raves to fitness events and yoga festivals.
She brings yoga and movement events into clubs, and infuses the edgy influences of dance music culture into wellness-based events.
Raised in a family of musicians and dancers, her childhood was saturated with classic jazz and traditional African music. She received her elementary school radio education from the golden era of hip hop and the heyday of pop music, discovered electronic dance music as a teen, and weaves her multicultural background into highly accessible and infectiously danceable soundscapes.
She created the viral video We Came To Dance – a 2 minute manifesto on the power of music and movement that has received 3 million views to date.
Her writing has appeared in Flavorpill, Wanderlust, Elephant Journal, Mantra magazine, MindBodyGreen, and Yoga Journal, and The Get Down has been featured in Refinery29, Thump, New York Magazine, and Well&Good.
She’s been a resident DJ at Cielo in New York City for nearly 4 years, and plays frequently at Output and House of Yes, along with NYC party institutions YouAreSoLucky (formerly theDanger), Caravan Gitane, House of Love and FunkBox.
She is a growing force on the transformational festival circuit with performances at Shambhala, Burning Man, and Lightning in a Bottle in 2016. Her work in the yoga world has lead to frequent collaborations with Shiva Rea, Stephanie Snyder and Elena Brower.
Corporate clients include Google, Adidas, Daybreaker, Flavorpill, YourGuru, Luna bar, Yoga journal, Wanderlust Festival, Lululemon, DailyMail, Summit Series, and BodyLocal.
