PAYPAL | 201 MULBERRY

PayPal hosted its Cash ‘n Back free pop-up exhibit to celebrate “the PayPal Cashback Mastercard’s power to transform everyday purchases into something extraordinary.” At the ideal location of 201 Mulberry in the heart of Nolita, PayPal was able to reinvent and reimagine the traditional "corner bodega." With a pop-up exhibit including interactive features in addition to free refreshments and live music, this event was hard to pass up.

BOMBAY SAPPHIRE | 168 BOWERY
Bombay Sapphire together with Artsy - the largest online art and design marketplace - are presenting the works of the 8th annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Winner, Vanessa Lam at a two week pop-up gallery at 168 Bowery. The showcase is the culmination of a national search for the best up-and-coming names in visual arts.

The gallery is currently featuring Lam's work entitled, “There is Another Sky,” through this weekend, open from 11:00am to 7:00pm. Using the mediums of painting, sculpture, and collage, her work can be characterized by the use of gestural brushwork, assemblage, and nontraditional tools. To top off the spectacular work within, producers created a wraparound sculpture inspired by Vanessa’s work to embellish the venue's exterior.

PIPELINE THEATRE GALA | (LE) POISSON ROUGE
The Pipeline Theatre Company hosted a gala at (Le) Poisson Rouge to celebrate their growing community of artists and to raise money for their 10th anniversary season. The company also enticed guests with the upcoming release of the Playing Hot. With their own artists Kevin Armento, Jaki Bradley, and Marcus Miller’s, they previewed scenes of the play for gala attendees. Guests were also able to enjoy performances from Beardo and Folk Wandering, which feature some of their most beloved performers and stories.

DJ HESTA PRYNN | THE PUBLIC THEATER GALA
Hesta Prynn spun for the third year in a row at The Public Theater Gala, which took place at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park. For the 40th annual gala, the theater featured the groundbreaking musical RUNAWAYS by Elizabeth Swados. Hesta Prynn enjoyed working with the young talent saying, "It was such a thrill to see all of the amazing young actors in RUNAWAYS. These kids were only about 12 and 14. They are so talented and inspiring. We went back and forth all night — one of mine, one of theirs. I learned a ton."
