ON THE RADAR 

RxART | STEPHAN WEISS STUDIOS

RxART took over Stephan Weiss Studios this week to celebrate its 15th Anniversary. The non-profit organization that commissions artists to transform sterile healthcare facilities and create inspiring environments for sick children, also honored notable artist Urs Fischer and presented him with the RxArt Inspiration Award.
 
Stephan Weiss Studios in the West Village provided the perfect blank canvas to beautifully showcase the works by Fischer, as well as other talented artists who all donated pieces for auction. Many of them, Fischer included, created custom creations for the event.
 
The auction, led by Sara Friedlander, Christie's Vice President, and supported online by Paddle8.com, reached a fever pitch when an Urs Fischer piece sold for $675,000. Generous bidders nibbled on bites from Brooklyn-based caterer Mina Stone who is a favorite among New York’s progressive art scene. All in all, the evening raised over $1 million dollars for the worthy cause.

Hennessy | Nolita

Follow the Wild Rabbit! This week, Hennessy took over our Nolita blank space to stage an innovative art competition known as Gallery 24. This is the fourth year Hennessy has curated works from 15 top graduate students from The Pratt Institute. The students created individual pieces, often whimsical, and all based on the brand's mantra, "Never Stop, Never Settle." The art was displayed throughout the bi-level space and the venue was open 24 hours. The creative minds at Team Epiphany produced the event. Stop by tonight, the gallery is open until 9pm!

Warby Parker | (Le) Poisson Rouge

(Le) Poisson Rouge hosted Warby Parker last week for their annual team building event in tandem with Halloween. Warby Parker always keeps the lid on their team building activities, so the event location and concept were only revealed to employees just moments beforehand.

This year, Warby Parker went old-school and partnered with We Bee Spelling to throw an alcohol-fueled Spelling Bee into the evening's mix. Competition was fierce, and (Le) Poisson Rouge was a great place for company community and culture to come together. Can you spell S-O-B-E-R? Probably not at the end of this party!

DJ Elle Dee | Carolina Herrera 

DJ Elle Dee dazzled in Carolina Herrera this week at a cocktail party for the luxury fashion designer. The chic in-store event gave New York's fashion-set full access to the designer's elegant Fall/Winter collection. Shoppers sipped on bubbly while Elle's effervescent sounds entertained the crowd.

Sandy Hammer | Co-Founder, All Seated

Tell us about the origins of AllSeated?
It all started when our Co-Founder and CTO, Daniel, needed something to assist his office manager with figuring out how to seat her guests at her upcoming wedding. Daniel desperately needed her to continue her office work, but she was overwhelmed with planning her wedding. His solution? He built an application to help her easily and quickly seat her guests. This application was so effective and so easy to use that quickly over 30,000 brides started using it! The need for AllSeated was clear and we went to work. We built the core application and then over the next six months, we worked with top hotels, caterers and event planners in the United States. We capitalized on their years of experience and ultimately gained an understanding of exactly what they needed and wanted to streamline event planning for both them and their clients.
 
How can AllSeated enhance the planning experience?
AllSeated is a free cloud-based platform which allows for seamless collaboration in real-time between venues, planners and event hosts. AllSeated's tools offer users the ability to easily create floor plans, arrange seating charts, keep track of multiple guest lists and event timelines, as well as log RSVP's and generate useful reports. The digital age has arrived in the event industry and AllSeated is leading the way by showing users that the use of technology to manage and execute tasks is the smartest way to simplify and streamline the event planning process.
 
What's on the horizon for AllSeated?
We are continuing to shake up the event industry with many new updates. In addition to our 3D Magic Tool which launched a little while back, our new Smart Folders are going to be amazing! They are set to go live at the end of the month and in early 2016, will be adding furniture to our furniture library from well-known vendor along with lots of linen choices too, and so much more!
