MAD MARJ - MAY KWOK - WHITNEY FIERCE
ALEX MERRELL | BMF LONDON
Alex Merrell was in London for Fashion Week to DJ the launch party for Amazon's fashion platform, The Drop, which is a limited-edition fashion designed by global influencers. Its newest collaboration is with Leonie Hanne, the German-based fashion blogger of Ohh Couture. Alex played a mix of current hits and British favorites while guests checked out the collection with cocktails in hand. The event was timely as Alex will now be based between London, New York and Los Angeles.

EVE SALVAIL | BIO & NEW MIXES
Quebec native Eve Salvail, with a cult-like following, is best recognized for gracing many of the fashion world’s most celebrated catwalks around the globe as one of the supermodels of the 1990’s. Her stunning beauty and some say shocking, tattooed baldness, crowned her with the distinction of transforming the generalized concept of beauty within the fashion industry. Initially discovered by Jean Paul Gaultier, acting as his long-time Muse, she has been the face for campaigns like Versace, Moschino, Paola Frani, Paco Rabone and more.

With her disruptive look and sense of style, Eve single-handedly turned the modeling industry on its head, and successfully translated her niche into several notable roles in major motion pictures such as Pret-a-Porter (Robert Altman), Unzipped (Douglas Keeve), The Fifth Element (Luc Besson), and Zoolander (Ben Stiller), Celebrity (Woody Allen).

Now, her successful decade-long venture as a high profile, celebrity DJ is showing us that she is as talented (and stunning) off the big screen and the catwalks, as she is on.  Once again capitalizing on her uncanny ability to make her presence known, this time in an industry long governed by men.

MAY KWOK | VINCE CAMUTO
May Kwok captured the spirit of this Indian Summer and kept guests dancing all night at the sunset garden party for Vince Camuto. The event was held at Eric Buterbaugh's gallery in Los Angeles, a floral utopia tucked away on Melrose. May's eclectic style is well-rounded. A set with May includes a little bit of everything, from disco, to house, to electronica, 80s/90s, hip hop, and Top 40 hits. Cultivated from her extensive experience in nightlife, May has a sheer talent for reading the crowd and knowing exactly what they need, then she delivers with a thunderclap!

MAD MARJ | BIO

Only to the uninitiated is there anything surprising about the fact that New York fashion and social A-Lister Marjorie Gubelmann is now also Queen Bee of the DJs.  Friends from London to New York, and Paris to LA, have always known that Marjorie is an avid music lover with a background as a radio disc jockey.

As far back as her boarding school days, she was mixing dance tapes that her friends couldn’t wait to get their hands on. When Marjorie was a student at New England College, she got her broadcasting license and worked as a DJ on the local radio station under the name “Mad Marj.” Since turning pro again three years ago, she has been spinning at the hottest parties around the world. Mad Marj’s client list includes Bvlgari, Tory Burch, Clinique, Kiehl’s, IMG, Longchamp, Joe Fresh, Roberto Cavalli, Target, W Magazine, and Estelle. Mad Marj has also opened for Skrillex and New Order. Press highlights include profiles in the Wall Street Journal, Vogue Mexico, W Magazine, Vanity Fair, Women’s Wear Daily, Vogue.com and Style.com.

Her sound is everything you can count on to put a smile on people’s faces and most importantly to get them onto their feet. “I can get anyone to dance,” DJ Mad Marj says. “I promise you, I’ve seen it, the most unlikely people. I really can.” This is the passion of a lifetime. “In my whole life I’ve never had so much fun doing anything.”

WHITNEY FIERCE | BIO & MIXES
Whitney Fierce has a pretty impressive resume - being a model, magazine editor, fashion entrepreneur, cultural curator, publicist, and photographer. She’s performed at some of the world’s most massive festivals, venues and events, all thanks to the clout of her name, a little clever scheming and free-spirited swagger.

Refinery29 says, “[this girl’s] about to break, big time” and RollingStone calls her “A Must See Act” — perhaps this is one of those moments when you should believe the hype. Gaining her DJ experience in the basements and on the runways of NYC, Whitney Fierce joined Hercules and Love Affair, and since has joined New Order as their tour DJ. She has toured the globe playing mega clubs in Ibiza and Berlin, for Dior in Paris, the mayor in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Bowl, and publications like Nylon and Vogue.

On the decks and in the studio, Fierce blends her background of classical musicianship with a powerful flair for the eccentric, bearing sexy bangers pumped-full with catharsis and a stylish humor that basks in the dance-floor madness. Recently releasing two EPs, and with more in store, she is quickly accumulating critical acclaim.
