NEW VENUE ALERT
138 BOWERY | LOWER EAST SIDE

Our new venue at 138 Bowery is finally coming online this Spring! Prominently located in the Lower East Side one block south of Delancey, 138 Bowery offers clients unexpected square footage and high visibility in a prime downtown location. The venue provides 12,317 SF of usable event space across three floors and includes a dramatic mezzanine and equally impressive subfloor, at 3,981 SF with 10’6″ ceilings.

Recently built for mixed-use retail, this new construction is a perfect choice for short, to longer term pop-ups, as well as, corporate, media and social events looking for an industrial aesthetic or the ability to custom build any design. Exterior façade windows are also available for prime branding opportunities.

M&M FLAVOR VOTE | 201 MULBERRY
M&M's transformed 201 Mulberry into an immersive pop-up experience for consumers this past week to give them the opportunity to vote for which new flavor they like best. “The event itself is because our fans at M&M’s love to be part of how we create a flavor,” said Tanya Berman, VP of Mars Chocolate. “We get ideas all the time from them, whether it’s on social [or] online, people even write to us because they love the variety and the flavor.”

Three new flavors were launched at the pop-up, each with its own Instagram-worthy room to showcase the flavor, smell and feel of the new M&M. The crunchy raspberry room was piled high with hot pink bean bags, while the crunchy mint room had a play pen and the crunchy espresso had an oversized espresso machine.

The pop-up didn't stop at visuals as each room had a wafting smell of the flavors. Additionally, there were specialty cocktails lined with M&M's, as well as snacks inspired by the three new flavors such as a mini crunchy raspberry-inspired grilled cheese and a crunchy mint ice-cream sandwich.

RAW: NATURAL BORN ARTISTS | (LE) POISSON ROUGE
RAW: Natural Born Artists brought over 40 artists and nearly 700 guests to (Le) Poisson Rouge this past week to celebrate its community of artists. RAW holds showcases multiple times a month in over 70 cities worldwide. Their team metamorphosed the dual-room venue into a pop-up gallery complete with a runway for mini fashion shows, full set-up for bands and grids for art displays. The night was a complete success with rave reviews on the flow of the event, the attentive staff of the venue and the capability of the space to accommodate such an innovative event.
SCHWARZKOPF PROFESSIONAL | SMASHBOX STUDIOS, LA

Schwarzkopf Professionals created "The House of MORE" in Los Angeles to thank the brand's most loyal Instagram fans. The celebration as a whole took place over the weekend, where they started with a shopping spree on Rodeo Drive, a branded lunch at Fred's at Barney's New York, a spa treatment at The Now, accommodations at a beautiful mansion and a lovely dinner hosted at Smashbox Studios. This intimate dinner changed "moods" every course — the first was yellow with happy tunes, the second was orange with world beats, the third was purple with jazz & vocals, and the final course was pink accompanied by pop music.

MIXING IT UP
DJ MAD MARJ | BROOKS BROTHERS

Brooks Brothers, a menswear clothing brand that has been a staple in the closet for centuries, celebrated its 200th anniversary at the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center. The night was also to honor the tenure of the new owner and chief executive officer, Claudio Del Vecchio. The black-tie gala was a major success for the company, as 1,000 of its best customers, friends and celebrity guests danced the night away to the tunes of our very own Mad Marj.

INTERVIEW WITH DJ EVALICIOUS

Catching up with our supermodel DJ, DJ Evalicious on her new spring mix:

Your new mix combines various styles — dance/electronic songs, throwbacks with a twist, mellow songs and of course, some top pop hits. What was your inspiration for mixing the different types of music?

Spring is the inspiration -  and I’m in love, so she inspired me!

What have you been playing the most of lately?

Recently, I've been playing retro 80’s and a bit of house.

What songs are you most excited about in this mix?

I love it all, but especially Cola with CamelPhat & Elderbrook and Azukati-Aoki (bless his soul).
