NEW DJ ALERT

Introducing Gillian Sagansky

Gillian Sagansky is a Manhattan-based DJ and published writer, who draws inspiration from her multi-cultural experiences around the globe. Gillian began her DJ career performing at prominent clubs throughout New York City, which lead to private event bookings and an impressive client roster.

While well-versed in deep house/electronic music from living in Berlin, Gillian is known for her open-format repertoire of classics, unexpected remixes, and fan favorites that liven up any crowd. During daylight hours, Gillian works as a writer at W Magazine, and prior to that, Vogue. However her formal writing credits extend beyond those publications, including her own style blog, The Painted Goat

Her DJ client list reads like a Who’s Who in Fashion and Design, including: Anna Sui, Annie Leibovitz Studio, Audi, Bloomingdales, Bulgari, Conde Nast, Design Within Reach, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, and Tribeca Film Festival, to name a few.

Check out her Instagram and her Soundcloud for more!

Givenchy Beauty | SoHo Pop Up

LVMH transformed the Vornado property at 155 Spring at West Broadway into the first U.S. Givenchy Beauty pop-up store worldwide. LVMH gave the raw space its own beauty make-over to house its fragrance & cosmetics portfolios. The edgy experiential boutique in SoHo also offers guests an exclusive opportunity to preview some of the luxury brand's new collections, not yet available in other stores. The space is open until the end of March 2016

SKYY Vodka | Michelson Studio

SKYY Vodka transformed Michelson Studios into a blue and white winter wonderland for their #LetsHolidayy campaign. #LetsHolidayy celebrates the brand's limited edition knitted bottle available only during the holidays. The penthouse loft was decorated from floor to ceiling with festive lights, and a blue glass Christmas tree made exclusively of SKYY Vodka bottles. Over-sized ball ornaments covered in custom knitting by artist Magda Sayeg, as well as custom wrapped accents throughout the studio, redefined 'home for the holidays.'

Our friends at Swell who produced the event, even had a Wish Wall where guests could inscribe and hang their wishes for the holiday season. Of course, specialty SKYY Vodka cocktails flowed throughout the evening, adding the perfect complement to this truly one-of-a-kind event.

MIXING IT UP
Alex Merrell | Swarovski
DJ Alex Merrell was quite literally 'playing in the sun’ at Swarovski’s SoHo Beach House Penthouse in Miami, hosted by Nadja Swarovski, businesswoman and great granddaughter of the brands founder. The event celebrated Fernando Romeo's "El Sol" an art installation inspired by, you guessed it, the Sun.

The installation was a collaboration between Romeo and Swarovski and was designed to scale—exactly 1 billion times smaller than the Sun. Swarovski crystals, 2,880 to be exact, provided the piece’s  'star-power.’ Alex dazzled at the elegant dinner party as well, and her sophisticated beats added to the luxurious atmosphere.

Elle Dee | amfAR
DJ Elle Dee performed at amfAR's generationCURE Holiday Party at The Plaza Hotel's famed Oak Room. Hosted by the organization's Young Leadership Council,  the elegant gathering raised funds to advance amfAR’s mission to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic. A live band kicked off the evening, and later Elle Dee and Alexandra Richards took to the turntables. Guests enjoyed signature Belvedere cocktails, including the Belvedere 007 Martini — no doubt, 'shaken, not stirred.' Additional contributors to the evening were MicrosoftMoet Hennessy, and The Plaza Hotel.

Elle also took a spin at the Surf Lodge pop-up in Miami, where Out of Order x Snarkitecture held an Art Basel Miami Beach Dinner. You can check out Elle's photo at the event on  Vogue. The event was hosted by the Wine N Dine App and was an outdoor, Miami-style soiree. Elle kept the crowd going for what we're sure was a memorable event.
