Tell us about your role at The Kagency?
I am the new West Coast Sales Manager. I joined the team at the beginning of the year and bring with me three years of production and accounting experience.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people and helping them create unique visions for their events. Every event brings new opportunities to expand my venue knowledge, not only with regards to layout and design, but also the behind the scenes logistics to ensure a successful event. The reward is always seeing the awe in the faces of clients' guests upon arrival.
What is the coolest feature you’ve seen at an event?
For me, it's the diverse range of decor that can transform a space, down to the tiniest detail. The decor not only sets the stage, but it sets the mood. It can really transport guests to another world, or at the very least take their breath away.
What’s the best advice anyone has given you in regards to the events industry?
"No matter what, if you stay positive and work hard, you can always find a solution."
What advice would you give others just starting out in this industry?
1. "Ask questions." In doing so, you will find the "right" answers. There will always be something new thrown your way and asking questions is the only way to learn the right way to do something.
2. "Never guess at an answer." If past experience doesn't provide you with an instant answer, refer back to No. 1.
When not running between events, where might you be?
Camping and rock climbing with friends and family.
