In collaboration with Red Bull Music Festival New York, The Darkroom(s) of Richie “Shazam” Khan took over all 8,000 SF of Westside Loft in the West Village, formerly Michelson Studios. Producers, led by Khan, transformed the venue with one creative expression after the next. Upon entering, guests were met with a digital vision of Khan, along with high-energy beats from various DJs. As they continued throughout the rooms, guests experienced multiple installations that portrayed Kahn’s key takeaway — he wanted guests to understand the importance of being free and being themselves. He did so by projecting visuals of his different personas to illustrate the general theme of the night, which was a “visual rave fantasy.”
